Dr. Subrata Haldar

Dr. Subrata Haldar is an established Orthopaedic Surgeon in Kolkata, with over 20 years' experience in orthopaedics, physical medicine and sports medicine. He currently practises at Medstar Clinics (Shakespeare Sarani) and Fortis Medical Centre (Minto Park).

Dr. Haldar's areas of interest include rheumatology and trauma. He is skilled in joint replacement surgery and also has considerable experience in handling medico-legal cases. He has performed various types of arthroplasties, arthrodesis and arthrotomies; internal and external fixations; and, osteotomies for fractures/dislocations. He has treated sports injuries by methods of manipulation, bracing, strapping, splinting and plaster immobilisation. Other areas of physical/sports medicine that he is familiar with include remission of various types of pain & disabilities arising from sports-oriented injuries; muscle strengthening, balancing and toning for specified sports disciplines; and, rehabilitation and coordination of core muscles and disabilities.

Apart from his clinical commitments, Dr. Subrata Haldar has attended and participated as a speaker at international conferences in the USA and UK, and also at numerous conferences within India.
